The idea for Secuyou arose out of real experience – all the best ideas usually do.

Too often, Leo Laursen forgot to close and lock his windows in his home. He needed a better solution – the Secuyou concept was born.
 
The technical development really got going in 2008 and with serious investors involved, the company’s developed product entered the market in 2010. Today, Secuyou is part of the VKR Group, which includes companies such as VELUX, VELFAC and Rationel Windows. The VKR Group is owned by global industrial investor VKR Holding (VKR Holding is owned bythe Kann Rasmussen family and the foundation VILLUM FONDEN).
 
Among other benefits, this partnership means that Secuyou can utilise the same fundamental testing and high-quality standards employed by the other major brands in the VKR Group.
